My series are constructed as a dialogue, a questionning or a game between two distinguish and opposite spaces. I'm looking to creat links, bridges or ruptures between the height and the emptyness, between what is tangible, physical and what is not. To interrogate and transgress the boarders between the visible and the invisible. YA

Yann Amstutz lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland. He graduated from the Master of Arts HES-SO in visual arts, at Ecole cantonale d’art du Valais, in Sierre, Switzerland. His series have been exhibited at Rencontres d'Arles, France, at the Swiss Cultural Center in Paris, at Aperture Foundation in New York, at the Fototage festival in Biel, Switzerland, at Halle Nord in Geneva, at Helmhaus in Zürich as well at the Teneriffe FotoNoviembre biennal, Spain.
